Assemblage, Collage, Painting, Drawing, Mixed Media

Saturdays, 1:00 pm – 4:45 pm / September  – May

Students are encouraged to express their unique vision through a variety of collage and assemblage techniques, including printing and transferring images onto experimental and archival materials. Students should bring any materials to work with: found objects, magazines, cloth, wood, metal, plastic, etc. This class works from the nude model, with a variety of short and long poses.

Experimental Printmaking

Thursdays 7 pm – 10 pm

Enhance your sense of wonder through printmaking. Create projects in mixed media and printmaking in a supportive environment of selfexpression to produce one of a kind prints. Use inventive problem solving to cultivate a stunning outcome and celebrate your individual artistic qualities. Learn to create exhibits and develop your confidence in the experience of art making. All levels welcome.

The Art of Collage and Mixed Media

Mondays, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Mixed media helps develop a variety of skills by combining various art making genres. Materials and techniques of fine art and experimental strategies are introduced constantly in a variety of forms. Work becomes personalized using materials, chosen found or collected, that reflect personal intent and interests, adding the possibilities of pigment cutting drawing, gluing and their connections. Click here for more information.

 

Exploratory Art (Ages: 5-8)

Mondays, 4:15 pm – 6:15 pm

Young artists will be introduced to fine art media of drawing, painting, collage, assemblage and more, with a fun but professional approach. Students are encouraged to have a personal style and imaginative solutions to ideas and techniques to encourage personal work. The school will provide all materials. Experimental Printmaking

Fridays, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Experimental printmaking is a medium especially attuned to the sensibilities of the times. By mixing technical introductions and their practice along with the intuitive nature of art making one can form new creative art. Finding your own work is a process of distilling themes and techniques that ring true to the individual. Whatever medium you may or may not have studied, experimental printmaking can be a good vehicle for self-expression in a supportive and productive atmosphere. Click here for more information.

 

Draw, Print and Paint (Ages: 5-9)

Fridays, 4:15 pm – 6:15 pm

Young artists will learn ways to draw print and paint while using a large variety of materials. Hands-on art projects to encourage creative thinking to experience different art materials and work at their own pace. Imagination and individual expression is encouraged. Build motor and cognitive skills as well as problem solving and creativity. Let your creativity flow as we mix your own ideas with style, methods and varied subjects.
